sorry, i don't have kids at the moment. just so you make frequent stops and bring along snacks and drinks....maybe invest in a dvd player for the back of the car that they can watch. i don't know about military families with children but my sister just moved to a bigger school and they actually like it better. i guess it depends on how attached they are to their friends and school back home as to how they will adjust in the new home. i'm not sure how charleston is as far as schooling goes. as with most any military facility, there is always a bit of a wait at the military pharmacy in charleston. i would get my medicine on base at the clinic though, which didn't take as long. there is a lot to do in charleston, some people don't realize it though because they're too busy complaining about the weather and so they stay inside most of the time. i LOVED downtown charleston...it's so historic, lots of restaurants, shopping....and then you have a couple beaches only 15-30 minutes from you. hope that helps!
