PostSubject: Question   Fri Sep 12, 2008 2:28 am

At the end of my Omsbudsman E-mail... it has a contact number that has beside it... *for ship movement info

What does that mean?
Can i call that to find out where the ship is?
That's crazy! and is it like only for emergency's?

I think its an automated number that tells you updated info about the ship..call and just see what it says.

That was soo cool! I called it and it was automated.

it had a message from the CO telling how the cruise was going! it was pretty nifty!

Yeah I love those. When Travis was deployed I would call ever two weeks to the number and the CO would let us know how things are going, where they have been and what they are up to. It was nice to know they cared about us to keep us informed (even though our husbands did so as well).

It is actually pretty common for ships to have a Careline.

They will also announce when the ship is returning too.

And it will give info on the Ombudsman and the FRG/Officers Group too.
