| and he was saying all the places they should be visiting this time. And I couldn't help but feel sad... I hate not being able to travel like he does. Of course he saw the look on my face and felt bad. I told him that I'm happy he gets to go, he just has to buy me something from every spot.. He did really good last deployment.. do any of you get like that? Feeling a little left out cause they get to see the world and we are stuck here? | |

| yes and no. They get to travel, but they miss out on alot. DH didn't get to help me paint our first Long term apartment. DH may or may not get to be here for our first thanksgiving. He doesn't get an everyday life. Yeah, i wish i could party in guam, or go on a tour in some other place... but..... DH wishes he could have home cooked meals, and help make grocery lists... and stay home and play video games on the weekend in nothing but his underwear, lol TMI sorry... Besides, I've got to much going on to feel bad about not seeing those other countries, like planning care packages to remind DH of home, and making CD's of the worlds greatest love songs. And making welcome home banners, and finding little hole in the wall places to take DH when he gets back... so we can start dating all over again! Deployments suck... unless you find the good. and there's a hell of alot more good than meets the eye. | |
